Championship fixtures and table

All fixtures and the current table for the Championship. For the big matches we arrange official tickets and hospitality.

The Championship is the second tier of English football, with twenty-four clubs each playing forty-six matches between August and May. Midweek fixtures are common alongside the weekend programme. Tickets are noticeably easier to obtain than in the Premier League, although the biggest clubs still sell out regularly.

About the Championship

The Championship is the hardest league in England to get out of and one of the most rewarding to visit. It contains clubs with substantial histories and full grounds, while ticketing is nowhere near as closed as a division above. If you want an English matchday without months of uncertainty over tickets, this is the place to look.

The forty-six match programme means a lot of midweek football, usually Tuesday or Wednesday evening. That makes a short trip easier to plan than in the Premier League, where the weekend schedule keeps shifting.

The season ends with promotion play-offs, and those matches do sell out immediately.

Tickets and hospitality for this competition

At Championship clubs we arrange both regular tickets and hospitality. At most clubs there is general availability, so a regular ticket is a realistic option here more often than in the Premier League. At the largest clubs and for the play-offs at the end of the season it fills up fast, so let us know well in advance in those cases.

  • Regular tickets: € 80 to € 240 per person

Ticketing and fixture dates

The fixture list appears in June. Alongside the weekend programme there is a lot of Tuesday and Wednesday evening football. Kick-off times can move for television, though less often than in the Premier League.

Most clubs sell to the general public after their season ticket holders. For a midweek fixture a couple of weeks ahead is usually enough; for the play-offs in May it is not.
