About Southampton FC

St Mary's Stadium has been the home of Southampton since 2001. Before that the club played for 103 years at The Dell, a small ground in the middle of the city. The new stadium is on the River Itchen and has just over 32,000 seats. The name refers to the club's origins: Southampton were founded in 1885 by members of St Mary's church. That is also where the nickname The Saints comes from.

In the 2026/27 season Southampton play in the Championship, the second tier of English football. The match everyone wants to see is the South Coast Derby against Portsmouth, some 30 kilometres along the coast. Then the ground is full and the atmosphere is at its peak. The club song is When the Saints Go Marching In, which you will often hear in the stands.

For a visitor, Southampton is a pleasant destination: a port city on the south coast, easy to reach by train from London, and a stadium within walking distance of the centre. Tickets for ordinary league matches are often available; for the big matches it is different. We arrange official tickets and hospitality with a confirmed seat.

Hospitality at Southampton FC

At Southampton, hospitality is based in the lounges and executive boxes of the ground. The difference with a regular ticket is the seat and the service: a good seat, a separate entrance and food and drink in a lounge before and after the match. It is a comfortable way to experience the game, especially for a corporate guest or a group.

  • Hospitality from € 124 per person (indication)
  • Regular tickets from € 47 per person (indication)

This is the lowest price per type in our current range. The two figures may come from different fixtures, as prices vary considerably by opponent.

Practical information for matchday

Come well before kick-off, as it is a fair walk from the station. Travel by train or shuttle bus, as there is no visitor parking at the stadium and the roads around the ground close before the match. Afterwards the route to the station is busy; the shuttle bus or walking is often quicker. If you want to make a day of it, the old city walls, Ocean Village and the docks are a short walk away.
