St Andrew's has been the home of Birmingham City since 1906. It is one of the oldest grounds in English professional football. In 1939 more than 66,000 people turned up for a cup tie against Everton. After a major redevelopment in the 1990s the stadium is all-seater, with just over 29,000 seats in total. Since 2024 it has carried the name St Andrew's @ Knighthead Park.
The club was founded in 1875 as Small Heath Alliance and are known as the Blues, after the colour of their shirts. Birmingham City have won the League Cup twice, in 1963 and 2011. Their great rivals are Aston Villa from the same city; that fixture is called the Second City derby. Before kick-off the fans sing the club anthem Keep Right On To The End of the Road.
Birmingham is England's second city and easy to reach. From Birmingham Airport the train takes about ten minutes to Birmingham New Street, and from London Euston the journey by train takes about an hour and a half. We can put together a tailor-made football trip with ticket, accommodation and transport. Tickets for ordinary league matches are often available; for the big matches it is different. We arrange official tickets and hospitality with a confirmed seat.
St Andrew's is in the Bordesley district, about two and a half kilometres east of Birmingham city centre. On home matchdays trains from Birmingham Moor Street stop at Bordesley station; from there it is about a ten-minute walk to the ground. From the main stations in the centre, New Street, Moor Street and Snow Hill, it is a walk of twenty minutes to half an hour. Bus routes 17 and 60 run from the centre to the stadium.
At Birmingham City, hospitality is based in the lounges and suites of St Andrew's. The difference with a regular ticket is the seat and the service: a good seat in the stand and food and drink in a lounge before and after the match. In a stadium of this size it is a comfortable way to experience the game, especially for a corporate guest or a group.
This is the lowest price per type in our current range. The two figures may come from different fixtures, as prices vary considerably by opponent.
Come well before kick-off and travel by train or bus, as parking at the ground must be booked in advance and the roads are busy after the match. Bordesley station is only open on home matchdays; allow a fifteen-minute walk back to the platform after the final whistle. If you fly, you land at Birmingham Airport; the free Air-Rail Link takes you to Birmingham International station, and from there the train takes about ten minutes to New Street. We can put together a tailor-made football trip with ticket, accommodation and transport.
For ordinary league matches there is often availability. For matches against other West Midlands clubs and against big clubs they go quickly; a package with a confirmed seat gives certainty then.
The price varies by opponent and by stand. This page shows the current from-price per type once we have availability for a match.
