Molineux is one of the oldest stadiums in English football and the home of Wolverhampton Wanderers, better known as Wolves. The club have played here since 1889. In the early 1990s it was almost completely rebuilt; it now holds just over 31,000. From the 2026/27 season Wolves are in the Championship, the second tier in England.
The most important match is the Black Country derby against West Bromwich Albion, who play a few kilometres away at The Hawthorns. Molineux also has a rich history. In the 1950s Wolves played famous floodlit evening matches here against top foreign clubs. In 1972 the stadium hosted the first UEFA Cup final.
Wolverhampton is close to Birmingham. From Birmingham Airport the train gets you to Wolverhampton in under half an hour; from London there are direct trains from Euston. We can put together a tailor-made football trip with ticket, accommodation and transport. Tickets for ordinary league matches are sometimes available; for the big matches it is different. We arrange official tickets and hospitality with a confirmed seat.
Molineux is on Waterloo Road, on the northern edge of Wolverhampton city centre, next to the University of Wolverhampton campus. Wolverhampton railway station is about 1.1 kilometres away, a fifteen-minute walk. The West Midlands Metro tram also stops there. The city's bus station is about a 12-minute walk away. The four stands are named after great names from the club's history, such as the Stan Cullis Stand and the Steve Bull Stand.
At Wolves, hospitality is based in the restaurants, lounges and boxes of the ground. The difference with a regular ticket is the seat and the service: a good seat, a separate entrance and food and drink in a lounge before and after the match. In a stadium with such full, compact stands it is a comfortable way to experience the game, especially for a corporate guest or a group.
This is the lowest price per type in our current range. The two figures may come from different fixtures, as prices vary considerably by opponent.
Come well before kick-off; for a 3pm match the turnstiles open an hour and a half beforehand. Inside the stadium you can only pay for food and drink by debit or credit card; cash is not accepted. Bags larger than A4 are not allowed inside. Travel by train or tram, as the centre is busy on matchdays. Birmingham is about twenty minutes away by train. We put together a tailor-made football trip with ticket, accommodation and transport for you.
A large part of the stadium is taken up by season ticket holders, so individual tickets are limited. For the Black Country derby against West Bromwich Albion they go quickly; a package with a confirmed seat gives certainty then.
The price varies by opponent and by stand. This page shows the current from-price per type once we have availability for a match.
