About Fortuna Sittard

The Fortuna Sittard Stadion is the home of Fortuna Sittard, the club from the south of the province of Limburg. The ground opened on 14 November 1999 with a friendly against Schalke 04 and replaced the old De Baandert stadium. It is a compact ground with just over 12,000 seats and stands that are joined all the way round, so you sit close to the pitch wherever you are.

Fortuna play in the Eredivisie. The busiest matches are those against Ajax, PSV and Feyenoord. Fortuna also have a long rivalry with the other Limburg clubs, above all with Roda JC from Kerkrade in the Mijnstreekderby. When those clubs play in the same league, the ground is full.

Sittard is on the Intercity line from Amsterdam via Utrecht and Eindhoven to Maastricht and Heerlen, so it is easy to get there by train. Maastricht Aachen Airport is the closest; Eindhoven Airport is also a good choice. We are happy to put together a tailor-made football trip with ticket, accommodation and transport. Tickets for ordinary league matches are often available; for the big matches it is different. We arrange official tickets and hospitality with a confirmed seat.

The Fortuna Sittard Stadion is on Milaanstraat in Sittard-Noord, about two kilometres from the centre. From Sittard station, buses run to the Parijsboulevard/Stadion and Sportzone stops, both within walking distance of the ground. Walking from the station takes 20 to 25 minutes. By car, the ground is easy to reach via the A2, the N276 and the N294. The stadium complex also includes a sports centre, a hotel and a supermarket.

Hospitality at Fortuna Sittard

At Fortuna Sittard, hospitality is based in the business seats and the function rooms of the ground. The difference with a regular ticket is the seat and the service: a good seat and food and drink in one of the stadium's function rooms, before and after the match. In a compact ground like this you are still close to the pitch. That makes it a pleasant way to experience a match, especially for a corporate guest or a group.

Practical information for matchday

Arrive in good time, as the entrances get busy around kick-off. There is a car park underneath the stadium and more car parks nearby; do not park on the business park next door, as parking is prohibited there. If you come by train, get off at Sittard station and take the bus or walk. For some matches a club ClubCard is required; we arrange the tickets for you. If you are coming from further afield, we put together a tailor-made football trip with ticket, accommodation and transport. Maastricht and Aachen are close by for an extra day.
