About Sunderland
The Stadium of Light is one of the largest and most atmospheric grounds outside the very top of England. Sunderland have one of the most loyal supports in the country, following the club through highs and lows. When it is full, and especially for the Tyne-Wear derby against Newcastle, the atmosphere is overwhelming.
The ground sits on the River Wear, on the site of an old colliery, and the name refers to the region's mining past. That bond with the city makes a matchday here special.
For a visitor, Sunderland is easy to reach and the ground has the metro right at the door. Tickets for ordinary league matches are available fairly regularly; for the top games it is different. We arrange official tickets and hospitality with a confirmed seat.

The Stadium of Light is on the north bank of the River Wear, close to the centre of Sunderland. Stadium of Light metro station, on the Tyne and Wear Metro, is right next to the ground; St Peter's station is also about an eight-minute walk. From Sunderland station it is about an eighteen-minute walk. Several bus routes also stop nearby.
