The Coventry Building Society Arena has been the home of Coventry City, the Sky Blues, since 2005. It replaced Highfield Road, where the club played for more than a hundred years. Until 2021 it was called the Ricoh Arena. Since August 2025 Coventry City have owned the stadium themselves, for the first time in twenty years.
In 2026 Coventry were promoted to the Premier League as Championship winners, after 25 years away. The club previously spent 34 consecutive seasons in the top flight and won the FA Cup in 1987. The matches against regional rivals Aston Villa and against England's big clubs are the fixtures the city looks forward to.
Coventry is in the middle of England. From Birmingham Airport it is about twenty minutes by car, and by train you can be in Coventry from London Euston in about 55 minutes. We can put together a tailor-made football trip with your ticket, accommodation and transport. Tickets for ordinary league matches are often available; for the big matches it is different. We arrange official tickets and hospitality with a confirmed seat.
The Coventry Building Society Arena is in the north of Coventry, between the Holbrooks and Longford areas, a few kilometres from the centre. Coventry Arena railway station is right next to the ground. From Coventry's main station the train journey takes less than ten minutes. Several bus routes, including route 20, stop at the Arena Park shopping centre opposite the ground. By car, the stadium is close to junction 3 of the M6.
At Coventry City, hospitality is based in the lounges and business seats of the ground. The difference with a regular ticket is the seat and the service: a good seat, a separate entrance and food and drink in a lounge before and after the match. Now that the club are back in the Premier League, it is a comfortable way to experience the game, especially for a corporate guest or a group.
This is the lowest price per type in our current range. The two figures may come from different fixtures, as prices vary considerably by opponent.
Come well before kick-off. Only a few trains an hour stop at Coventry Arena station, so it can get busy there after the match. The bus from Pool Meadow in the centre or a taxi is a good alternative. There is parking at the ground, but traffic around the M6 is heavy after the final whistle. If you are coming from further afield, Birmingham Airport and Coventry railway station are the most convenient arrival points; we can combine your ticket, accommodation and transport in a tailor-made football trip.
For ordinary league matches there is often availability. For the derby against Aston Villa and against the big Premier League clubs they go quickly; a package with a confirmed seat gives certainty then.
The price varies by opponent and by stand. This page shows the current from-price per type once we have availability for a match.
By train to Coventry Arena station, which is right next to the ground. From Coventry's main station it takes less than ten minutes. Bus route 20 also stops at the shopping centre opposite the ground.
No. Since 2021 the stadium has been called the Coventry Building Society Arena, often shortened to CBS Arena. Before that it was the Ricoh Arena.
It is the club anthem of Coventry City. The words were written in 1962 by the then manager Jimmy Hill, to the tune of the Eton Boating Song.
