The RCDE Stadium has been the home of Espanyol, Barcelona's second club, since 2009. The ground is just outside the city, on the border of Cornellà de Llobregat and El Prat de Llobregat. It is modern and compact, with a blue facade that lights up at night. The stands are built so that the noise is directed towards the pitch.

The biggest match of the year is the derby against FC Barcelona. Then the ground is full and the atmosphere is at its fiercest. A fixed moment at every home match is the 21st minute: the crowd stands up and applauds former captain Dani Jarque, who died in 2009.

For a visitor, Barcelona is an ideal destination. Barcelona-El Prat Airport is close to the ground, and from the centre the train gets you there quickly. We can put together a tailor-made football trip with ticket, accommodation and transport. Tickets for ordinary league matches are often available; for the big matches it is different. We arrange official tickets and hospitality with a confirmed seat.

The stadium and how to get there

The RCDE Stadium is on the Avinguda del Baix Llobregat in Cornellà de Llobregat, about ten kilometres south-west of the centre of Barcelona. The nearest station is Cornellà Riera, about a five-minute walk away. It is served by FGC line L8, which departs from Plaça Espanya. Metro line 5 and trams T1 and T2 stop at Cornellà Centre, about a fifteen-minute walk away. Next to the ground is the Splau shopping centre.

Hospitality at RCD Espanyol

At Espanyol, hospitality is based in the business seats and skyboxes of the ground. The difference with a regular ticket is the seat and the service: a good seat, a separate entrance and food and drink in a lounge before and after the match. In a modern stadium like this it is a comfortable way to experience the game, especially for a corporate guest or a group.

Practical information for matchday

Come well before kick-off and travel by train or metro. The ground has its own car park, but the roads are busy after the match. Cornellà Riera station can be packed after the final whistle; Cornellà Centre is a little further to walk but sometimes quieter. Barcelona-El Prat Airport is about fifteen minutes away by taxi. We can arrange your trip, accommodation and transport together with the ticket. If you want to make a day of it, the Sagrada Família, the Ramblas and the Gothic Quarter are in the centre of Barcelona.
