The Allianz Stadion is the home of SK Rapid, the club with the most league titles in Austria. The stadium opened in 2016 with a friendly against Chelsea and stands on the site of the former Gerhard-Hanappi-Stadion. For league matches it holds about 28,600 spectators.

The biggest match is the Vienna derby against Austria Vienna. It is one of the most frequently played derbies in Europe. Rapid play in the Austrian Bundesliga in 2026/27, as do Austria Vienna. A well-known tradition is the Rapid-Viertelstunde: in the last quarter of an hour of the match the whole stadium claps rhythmically, whatever the score.

Vienna is easy to reach. Vienna-Schwechat airport is about 20 kilometres from the centre, and Hütteldorf station next to the stadium is also served by regional trains. We can put together a tailor-made football trip with ticket, accommodation and transport. Tickets for ordinary league matches are often available; for the big matches it is different. We arrange official tickets and hospitality with a confirmed seat.

The stadium and how to get there

The Allianz Stadion is in Hütteldorf, in Vienna's fourteenth district (Penzing), about 8 kilometres west of the centre. The address is Gerhard-Hanappi-Platz 1. Underground line U4 runs directly from the city centre to the Hütteldorf terminus, a short walk from the stadium. Hütteldorf station is also served by the S-Bahn and regional trains. Tram lines 49 and 52 stop behind the north stand.

Hospitality at Rapid Vienna

At Rapid Vienna, hospitality is based in the business seats, lounges and skyboxes of the ground, mostly in the curved main stand. The difference with a regular ticket is the seat and the service: a good seat, a separate entrance and food and drink in a lounge before and after the match. Especially for the derby or a European night, it is a comfortable way to experience the game, for a corporate guest or a group.

Practical information for matchday

Come well before kick-off and travel on the U4 or the S-Bahn, as parking near the ground is limited. After the match the platforms at Hütteldorf are busy; tram lines 49 and 52 are then an alternative into the city. Stay until the end for the Rapid-Viertelstunde. From Vienna-Schwechat airport take the train into the city; we can arrange ticket, accommodation and transport together in a tailor-made football trip.
