Deepdale has been the home of Preston North End since 1878. That makes it one of the oldest football grounds in the world still in use. The stands were completely rebuilt between 1995 and 2008, and today the ground holds just over 23,000. In the 2026/27 season the club play in the Championship.

In 1888 Preston were one of the founder members of the Football League. In the first season the club won the league and the FA Cup without losing once. That is why the side is known as the Invincibles, and one of the stands still bears the name. In front of the Sir Tom Finney Stand is The Splash, the statue of the greatest player in the club's history. The biggest rivals are Blackpool; a match between the two is called the West Lancashire derby.

Preston is in Lancashire, between Manchester and the coast. From London Euston a direct train takes just over two hours to Preston, and from Manchester Airport a direct train takes about an hour. We also put together tailor-made football trips, with ticket, accommodation and transport. Tickets for ordinary league matches are often available; for the big matches it is different. We arrange official tickets and hospitality with a confirmed seat.

The stadium and how to get there

Deepdale is on Sir Tom Finney Way, in the Deepdale district, about three kilometres from the railway station in the centre of Preston. Walking from the station takes about half an hour. The bus is quicker: routes 19 and 19A towards Royal Preston Hospital stop in front of the ground, about a ten-minute ride from the bus station. The stadium has four stands: the Sir Tom Finney Stand, the Bill Shankly Kop, the Alan Kelly Town End and the Invincibles Pavilion.

Hospitality at Preston North End

At Preston North End, hospitality is based in the lounges and corporate areas of the ground. The difference with a regular ticket is the seat and the service: a good seat, a separate entrance and food and drink before and after the match. In a compact stadium with so much history it is a comfortable way to experience the game, especially for a corporate guest or a group.

Practical information for matchday

Come well before kick-off and take time to see The Splash statue by the Sir Tom Finney Stand. Bus or taxi from the centre is the best option; parking at the ground must be booked in advance, and the Moor Park car park is first come, first served. If you are coming from further afield, a direct train runs from London Euston to Preston, and from Manchester Airport there is a direct train of about an hour. We can arrange ticket, accommodation and transport together as a tailor-made football trip.
