Fratton Park has been the home of Portsmouth, known in England as Pompey, since 1899. It is the only professional ground in England that is not on the mainland of Great Britain but on Portsea Island. The club have been league champions twice, in 1949 and 1950, and won the FA Cup in 1939 and 2008.
The most important match is the South Coast Derby against Southampton, the big rivals from the neighbouring city. Fratton Park is a compact ground with the stands close to the pitch. The Pompey Chimes, one of the oldest chants in football, and the drums and bell in the Fratton End are part of every home match.
Portsmouth is on the south coast of England. Several trains an hour run to the city from London Waterloo, and there is a direct train from London Gatwick Airport. We can put together a tailor-made football trip with ticket, accommodation and transport. Because the ground is small, tickets for ordinary league matches are not always available; for the big matches it is even harder. We arrange official tickets and hospitality with a confirmed seat.
Fratton Park is on Frogmore Road in the Milton area, in the east of Portsea Island. The ground sits among residential streets. The nearest station is Fratton, about a ten-minute walk away via Goldsmith Avenue. Portsmouth & Southsea station, near the centre, is just over two kilometres further; walking from there takes around 25 to 30 minutes. Next to the ground is a shopping centre with places to eat.
At Portsmouth, hospitality is based in the lounges and suites of Fratton Park. The difference with a regular ticket is the seat and the service: a good seat, a separate entrance and food and drink before and after the match. Because the ground is small and often almost full, a package with a confirmed seat gives certainty, especially for a corporate guest or a group.
Come well before kick-off and travel by train. Parking at the ground is limited and most visitors look for a space in the residential streets, which is difficult for evening matches. After the final whistle it is busy at Fratton station. From London Waterloo the train journey takes about an hour and a half; Southampton and London Gatwick airports can also be reached by train. We can combine ticket, accommodation and transport into a tailor-made football trip. If you want to make a day of it, the historic naval harbour and the Southsea seafront are close by.
Fratton Park is small and often almost full, so availability is limited. For the South Coast Derby against Southampton they go quickest; a package with a confirmed seat gives certainty then.
The price varies by opponent and by stand. This page shows the current from-price per type once we have availability for a match.
Take the train to Fratton station. From there it is about a ten-minute walk to the ground on Frogmore Road.
In the 2026/27 season Portsmouth are in the Championship, the second tier in England. Their big rivals Southampton also play in it.
The Pompey Chimes is Portsmouth's best-known chant and one of the oldest chants in football. You hear it at Fratton Park at every home match.
