The Stade du Moustoir is the home of FC Lorient, the orange-and-black club nicknamed les Merlus. The ground opened in 1959 and is officially called the Stade Yves-Allainmat, after a former mayor of the town. After promotion to the top flight in 1998 new stands were built, and in 2010 the new south stand opened. It now holds just over 18,000.
The matches that matter most are the Breton derbies, especially against Stade Rennais and Stade Brestois. Then the ground is full and the atmosphere is at its best. Because the stands are close to the pitch, a match here feels intimate and direct.
Lorient is a port town on the south coast of Brittany. From Paris Montparnasse the TGV runs direct to Lorient in about three hours. We can put together a tailor-made football trip with ticket, accommodation and transport. Tickets for ordinary league matches are often available; for the big matches it is different. We arrange official tickets and hospitality with a confirmed seat.
The Stade du Moustoir is in the Le Moustoir district, in the centre of Lorient, a short distance from the town hall. Lorient Bretagne Sud station is within walking distance, about ten to fifteen minutes. Several city bus routes have a stop close to the ground. By car, take the N165 and follow the signs to the centre; on matchdays there is parking around the stadium, but spaces are limited.
At FC Lorient, hospitality is based in the boxes and reception lounges of the ground. The difference with a regular ticket is the seat and the service: a good seat, a separate entrance and food and drink in a lounge before and after the match. In a compact stadium like this you sit close to the pitch, which makes it a pleasant way to experience a game, especially for a corporate guest or a group.
Come well before kick-off, as it gets busy around the ground just before the match. Ideally come on foot or by bus, as parking in the centre is limited. If you travel by train, it is a fifteen-minute walk from the station to the ground. From Paris Montparnasse the TGV takes about three hours to Lorient; we can put together a tailor-made football trip with ticket, accommodation and transport. If you want to make a day of it, the port and the coast of southern Brittany are close by.
For ordinary league matches there is often availability. For the Breton derbies against Stade Rennais and Stade Brestois and against the big clubs they go quickly; a package with a confirmed seat gives certainty then.
The price varies by opponent and by stand. This page shows the current from-price per type once we have availability for a match.
