Tynecastle Park is the home of Hearts, one of Edinburgh's two big clubs. The club have played in Gorgie since 1886. In 2017 a new main stand opened with more than 7,000 seats. The ground now holds almost 20,000, all seated.
The stands are steep and close to the pitch, so the ground sounds fuller than it is. The big matches are the Edinburgh derby against Hibernian and the games against Celtic and Rangers. Then the ground is full and the atmosphere is at its peak.
Edinburgh has its own airport, with a tram that stops at Haymarket, among other places, close to the ground. We can put together a tailor-made football trip with ticket, accommodation and transport. Tickets for ordinary league matches are often available; for the big matches it is different. We arrange official tickets and hospitality with a confirmed seat.
Tynecastle Park is on Gorgie Road, in the Gorgie district in the west of Edinburgh. The nearest station is Haymarket, the last stop before Waverley. From there it is about a fifteen-minute walk via Dalry Road and Gorgie Road to the ground. Haymarket also has a tram stop. Several bus routes run from Haymarket and Dalry to the ground. The Murrayfield rugby stadium is also nearby.
At Hearts, hospitality is based in the lounges and suites of the ground. The difference with a regular ticket is the seat and the service: a good seat, a separate entrance and food and drink in a lounge before and after the match. In a compact ground like Tynecastle you sit close to the pitch, with every comfort around you. That works well for a corporate guest or a group.
The turnstiles open an hour before kick-off. Arrive in good time, as the streets around the ground are narrow and busy. Travel by train, tram or bus, as there is no car park at the ground and on-street parking is strictly controlled. From Edinburgh Airport the tram runs directly to Haymarket; from there it is a short walk. We can arrange ticket, accommodation and transport together in a tailor-made football trip. If you want to make a day of it, the Old Town and the castle are a short distance away.
For ordinary league matches there is often availability. For the derby against Hibernian, the matches against Celtic and Rangers and European nights they go quickly; the club often sells to season ticket holders first. A package with a confirmed seat gives certainty then.
The price varies by opponent and by stand. This page shows the current from-price per type once we have availability for a match.
Take the train or the tram to Haymarket. From there it is about a fifteen-minute walk via Dalry Road and Gorgie Road to the ground. Buses also run from Haymarket to Gorgie.
It is the match between Hearts and Hibernian, Edinburgh's two big clubs. Hibernian play in the east of the city, at Easter Road. It is the match the city looks forward to all season.
It holds almost 20,000, all seated. The stands are steep and close to the pitch, so you have a good view from almost every seat.
