The Coliseum is the home of Getafe, the club from the southern suburb of Madrid. The ground opened in 1998 and owes its name to its shape, which resembles a Roman amphitheatre. Until 2023 it was called the Coliseum Alfonso Pérez. In the 2026/27 season Getafe play in LaLiga and in the Conference League.

The big matches are the derbies against the major clubs from the capital, Real Madrid and Atlético. Then the compact ground is full and you sit close to the pitch. The stadium is being rebuilt in phases into a closed bowl with a full roof and around 18,500 seats. Getafe continue to play there during the works.

For a visitor, Getafe combines well with a few days in Madrid: you stay in the city and are at the ground in no time by metro or train. Tickets for ordinary league matches are often available; for the derbies and European nights it is different. We arrange official tickets and hospitality with a confirmed seat.

The stadium and how to get there

The Coliseum is on Avenida Teresa de Calcuta, in the north of Getafe, just over ten kilometres south of central Madrid. Los Espartales metro station on line 12, the MetroSur loop line, is about a five-minute walk away. At Puerta del Sur, line 12 connects with metro line 10 to the centre. From the centre you can also take the Cercanías: line C-4 to Las Margaritas Universidad or line C-3 to El Casar. Bus routes 443 and 448 also stop nearby.

Hospitality at Getafe CF

At Getafe, hospitality is based in the palcos and business seats of the ground. The difference with a regular ticket is the seat and the service: a good seat, a separate entrance and food and drink before and after the match. Because of the redevelopment, what is on offer may vary from match to match. In a compact stadium like this, hospitality is a comfortable way to experience the game, especially for a corporate guest or a group.

Practical information for matchday

Come well before kick-off. Because of the redevelopment, not all stands and entrances are always open, so check carefully which entrance is on your ticket. Travel by metro or Cercanías; by car you reach the ground via the A-42 and the M-45, but the roads are busy after the match. Not every stand is covered, so bring a coat in bad weather. If you want to make a day of it, central Madrid with the Prado, the Plaza Mayor and the Retiro Park is about half an hour away.
