The Cegeka Arena is the home of KRC Genk, the club formed in 1988 from a merger of Waterschei and Winterslag. The stadium opened in 1990 and between 1999 and 2002 gained new two-tier stands all around the pitch. It holds 23,718. KRC Genk play in the Belgian First Division and have been Belgian champions several times.
The big matches are the Limburg derby against Sint-Truiden and the games against Standard Liège, Club Brugge and RSC Anderlecht. On those days the stadium is full and the atmosphere is at its peak. Genk are known for their youth academy; players such as Kevin De Bruyne and Thibaut Courtois came through it.
Genk is in the province of Limburg. From Brussels a direct intercity train runs via Leuven and Hasselt to Genk; the nearest airport is Maastricht Aachen Airport. We are happy to put together a tailor-made football trip with ticket, accommodation and transport. Tickets for ordinary league matches are often available; for the big matches it is different. We arrange official tickets and hospitality with a confirmed seat.
The Cegeka Arena is on Stadionplein in Genk, outside the town centre. From Genk station a De Lijn bus runs to the Stadionplein stop, right by the entrance. By car, the stadium lies between the N75 and the N76, not far from the motorway. Next to the stadium is Thor Park, a site where you can also park for free. Cyclists will find bicycle racks at the rear and on the south side of the stadium.
At KRC Genk, hospitality is based in the business seats and skyboxes of the ground, mainly in the west stand. The difference with a regular ticket is the seat and the service: a good seat, a separate entrance and food and drink in a lounge before and after the match. In a compact stadium like the Cegeka Arena you sit close to the pitch, which makes it a pleasant choice for a corporate guest or a group.
Come well before kick-off. Parking at the stadium is limited and often reserved for season ticket holders; you can park for free at Thor Park, a few minutes' walk away, and in the surrounding streets. If you travel by train, take the bus or a taxi from Genk station to Stadionplein. Umbrellas with a sharp point are not allowed in the stadium. If you are coming from further afield, an overnight stay in Genk or Hasselt is convenient; we can put together a tailor-made football trip with ticket, accommodation and transport.
For ordinary league matches there is often availability. For the derby against Sint-Truiden, the matches against Standard Liège, Club Brugge and RSC Anderlecht and European nights they go quickly; a package with a confirmed seat gives certainty then.
The price varies by opponent and by stand. This page shows the current from-price per type once we have availability for a match.

That is the name of the match between KRC Genk and Sint-Truiden, two clubs from the province of Limburg. Demand for tickets for this match is high, so buy in good time.
