The MEWA Arena has been the home of FSV Mainz 05 since 2011. The ground replaced the old Bruchwegstadion and was previously named Coface Arena and Opel Arena. Four steep stands in a single tier sit close to the pitch, framed by large red arches that are lit up in the evening. For league matches it holds 33,305.
Mainz is one of Germany's best-known carnival cities, and you can hear that in the stadium. The club's nickname is the Karnevalsverein, and a carnival march plays after every home goal. The matches against Eintracht Frankfurt and 1. FC Kaiserslautern, the old regional rivals, mean the most to the supporters.
Mainz lies on the Rhine, close to Frankfurt Airport; from there the train takes half an hour or less to Mainz Hauptbahnhof. We can put together a tailor-made football trip with ticket, accommodation and transport. Tickets for ordinary league matches are often available; for the big matches it is different. We arrange official tickets and hospitality with a confirmed seat.
The MEWA Arena is on the western edge of Mainz, just over four kilometres from the centre, on Eugen-Salomon-Straße. Tram lines 51 and 53 stop at Jakob-Heinz-Straße/Arena. Several bus routes meet at the Kisselberg stop. On matchdays a shuttle bus runs from Mainz Hauptbahnhof to the ground.
At Mainz 05, hospitality is based in the business seats in the main stand and in the stadium's skyboxes. The difference with a regular ticket is the seat and the service: a good seat, a separate entrance and food and drink in a lounge before and after the match. In a compact ground with plenty of atmosphere it is a comfortable way to experience the game, especially for a corporate guest or a group.
Come well before kick-off and travel by tram or shuttle bus, as there is no parking at the ground itself. If you come by car, use the park-and-ride site at the Messe and take the shuttle bus from there. From Frankfurt Airport the train runs direct to Mainz Hauptbahnhof; we can arrange ticket, accommodation and transport together in a tailor-made football trip. If you want to make a day of it, visit the cathedral and the old town on the Rhine.
For ordinary league matches there is often availability. For the match against Eintracht Frankfurt and against Germany's big clubs they go quickly; a package with a confirmed seat gives certainty then.
The price varies by opponent and by stand. This page shows the current from-price per type once we have availability for a match.
