Tannadice Park has been the home of Dundee United since 1909, the club in tangerine known in Scotland as The Terrors or The Tangerines. The club won the Scottish league title in 1983 and reached the UEFA Cup final in 1987. Since the redevelopment in the 1990s the ground has been all-seater, holding 14,223.

What makes it special is the neighbour. Dens Park, the ground of city rivals Dundee FC, is on the same street, less than 200 metres away. Nowhere else in Britain are two major grounds this close together. That makes the Dundee derby the match of the season. When Celtic or Rangers visit, the ground is full too.

Dundee lies on the east coast of Scotland, on the River Tay. The nearest major airport is Edinburgh; from Edinburgh Waverley the train to Dundee takes about an hour and a half. We can put together a tailor-made football trip with ticket, accommodation and transport. Tickets for ordinary league matches are often available; for the big matches it is different. We arrange official tickets and hospitality with a confirmed seat.

The stadium and how to get there

Tannadice Park is on Tannadice Street, in a residential area in the north of Dundee, about one and a half kilometres from the city centre. Dens Park is on the same street, a few hundred metres further along. Dundee railway station is by the river, just over two kilometres from the ground. On foot it takes about half an hour; a city bus from the centre drops you a few minutes' walk from the stadium.

Hospitality at Dundee United

At Dundee United, hospitality is based in the lounges of the ground, with a choice of a full dinner, a lively atmosphere or a quieter lounge. The difference with a regular ticket is the seat and the service: a good seat, food and drink before the match and a space of your own to enjoy the day. In a compact ground like Tannadice you sit close to the pitch, which makes it a pleasant choice for a corporate guest or a group.

Practical information for matchday

Come well before kick-off. On matchdays a restricted parking zone applies around Tannadice, so it is best to come on foot, by bus or by taxi. There are car parks in the city centre, about a twenty-minute walk away. If you want to make a few days of it, we can put together a tailor-made football trip with ticket, accommodation and transport, for example via Edinburgh and then by train to Dundee. By the river you will find the V&A museum and the polar ship RRS Discovery.
