Pride Park Stadium has been the home of Derby County since 1997. It replaced the old Baseball Ground and was opened by Queen Elizabeth II. The stadium is all-seater, with just over 33,000 seats in total. The England national team have also played a match there.

Derby County are one of the oldest clubs in England. The club was founded in 1884 and in 1888 was one of the twelve founder members of the Football League. Under Brian Clough and Peter Taylor, Derby became league champions in 1972; a second title followed in 1975. A bronze statue of the two managers stands at the ground. Their great rivals are Nottingham Forest; that fixture is called the East Midlands derby.

Derby lies in the middle of England and is easy to reach. The train from London St Pancras takes about an hour and a half, and East Midlands Airport is about twenty kilometres south of the city. We can put together a tailor-made football trip with ticket, accommodation and transport. Tickets for ordinary league matches are often available; for the big matches it is different. We arrange official tickets and hospitality with a confirmed seat.

The stadium and how to get there

Pride Park Stadium is on the Pride Park business park, about one and a half kilometres south-east of Derby city centre. Derby railway station is a fifteen to twenty-minute walk away; the route via Roundhouse Road and Pride Park Way is signposted. From the centre it is a half-hour walk, which you can also do on a car-free path along the River Derwent. On matchdays shuttle buses run from the centre.

Hospitality at Derby County

At Derby County, hospitality is based in the lounges and suites of Pride Park Stadium. The difference with a regular ticket is the seat and the service: a good seat in the stand and food and drink in a lounge before and after the match. In a stadium of this size it is a comfortable way to experience the game, especially for a corporate guest or a group.

Practical information for matchday

Come well before kick-off and travel by train or shuttle bus, as parking at the ground must be booked in advance and the roads are busy after the match. If you fly, you land at East Midlands Airport; the Skylink bus takes about half an hour to Derby railway station. East Midlands Railway trains run from London St Pancras. We can put together a tailor-made football trip with ticket, accommodation and transport.
