The Kooi Stadion is the new home of SC Cambuur, the yellow-and-blue club from Leeuwarden. It replaced the old Cambuur Stadion and staged its first match in August 2024. The official opening followed in July 2025, with a friendly against Feyenoord. It holds 15,000, on four covered stands close to the pitch.
In the 2026/27 season Cambuur are back in the Eredivisie. The match of the year is the Frisian derby against sc Heerenveen, their neighbours from the same province. The match against FC Groningen also means a lot in the north. Then the ground is full and the atmosphere is at its peak.
Leeuwarden is the capital of Friesland and easy to reach by train. A direct train from Schiphol takes about two and a quarter hours; the nearest airport is Groningen Airport Eelde. We can also put together a tailor-made football trip, with ticket, accommodation and transport. Tickets for ordinary league matches are often available; for the big matches it is different. We arrange official tickets and hospitality with a confirmed seat.
The Kooi Stadion is on Stadionplein in the Elfstedenpark, on the west side of Leeuwarden. Next to the ground are the WTC Expo and the Elfstedenhal ice rink; this is also where the Elfstedentocht traditionally starts. From the central station it is about a 15-minute walk, via Tesselschadestraat. Bus routes 70, 71 and 97 run to the ground. Cycling is a good option too; there are several bike parks around the stadium.
At Cambuur, hospitality is based in the business seats, lounges and skyboxes in the main stand. A special spot is the Tunnelclub, a room next to the players' tunnel with a view of the pitch. The difference with a regular ticket is the seat and the service: a good seat, a separate entrance and food and drink before and after the match. In a compact stadium like this you sit close to the action, which suits a corporate guest or a group.
Come well before kick-off. Ideally travel by train, bus or bike, as the car parks on Stadionplein and in the Elfstedenpark are only for visitors with a parking permit. If you come by car, you can use sites in the area such as De Zwette IV, Fonteinland and P9; parking in the residential streets is not allowed. We can put together a tailor-made football trip, with ticket, accommodation and transport, so you also have time for Leeuwarden's city centre.
For ordinary league matches there is often availability. For the Frisian derby against sc Heerenveen and the match against FC Groningen they go quickly; a package with a confirmed seat gives certainty then.
The price varies by opponent and by stand. This page shows the current from-price per type once we have availability for a match.
From Leeuwarden's central station you can walk to the ground in about 15 minutes. You can also take the bus: routes 70, 71 and 97 stop nearby.

The Frisian derby is the match between SC Cambuur and sc Heerenveen, the two professional clubs from Friesland. It is the most important match of the season for both sets of supporters.
