Turf Moor is one of the oldest football grounds in the world still in use. Burnley have played here since 1883, a year after the club was founded. In 1888 Burnley were one of the twelve clubs that founded the Football League, and they have been league champions twice, in 1921 and 1960. The ground has four stands and holds 21,944.

The most important match is the East Lancashire derby against Blackburn Rovers, who play some twenty kilometres away. Both places were once textile towns, and you can still feel that history in the rivalry. In 2026/27 both clubs are in the Championship. The stands are close to the pitch, which makes for a tight, loud atmosphere.

Burnley is in Lancashire, between Manchester and Leeds. Direct trains run from both cities to Burnley Manchester Road; for visitors from abroad, Manchester Airport is the nearest major airport. We can put together a tailor-made football trip with ticket, accommodation and transport. Tickets for ordinary league matches are often available; for the big matches it is different. We arrange official tickets and hospitality with a confirmed seat.

The stadium and how to get there

Turf Moor is on Harry Potts Way, about a kilometre east of Burnley town centre. The nearest station is Burnley Manchester Road, a 10 to 15-minute walk away. Burnley Central is further away; from there it is about a 20-minute walk through the centre to the ground. By car you reach the stadium via junction 10 of the M65 motorway. Burnley's cricket club is right next to the ground.

Hospitality at Burnley FC

At Burnley, hospitality is based in the lounges and corporate areas of Turf Moor. The difference with a regular ticket is the seat and the service: a good seat, a separate entrance and food and drink in a lounge before and after the match. In a small, traditional ground like Turf Moor you sit close to the pitch, which makes the match all the more intense. It is a comfortable option for a corporate guest or a group.

Practical information for matchday

Come well before kick-off, as it gets busy around Turf Moor on matchdays. Travel by train if you can: Burnley Manchester Road has direct trains from Manchester Victoria, Leeds and Preston, among others. There are car parks nearby, but spaces are limited and traffic is often at a standstill after the match. From Manchester Airport you travel by train via Manchester or by taxi, which takes about an hour. If you want to make a few days of it, we put together a tailor-made football trip with ticket, accommodation and transport.
