The Toughsheet Community Stadium has been the home of Bolton Wanderers since 1997. Before that, the club played for more than a hundred years at Burnden Park, in the middle of Bolton. Over the years the new ground has had several names, from the Reebok Stadium to its current one. It holds 28,723.

Bolton are a club with a long history. In 1888 they were one of the twelve founder members of the Football League, and they have won the FA Cup four times. After promotion in 2026 the club are back in the Championship. The biggest matches are the derbies against other Lancashire clubs, such as Blackburn Rovers, Burnley and Preston North End. Wigan Athletic are another well-known rival.

For a visitor the ground is well placed: Manchester Airport has a direct train service to Horwich Parkway, next to the stadium. We can put together a tailor-made football trip with ticket, accommodation and transport. Tickets for ordinary league matches are often available; for the big matches it is different. We arrange official tickets and hospitality with a confirmed seat.

The stadium and how to get there

The Toughsheet Community Stadium is in Horwich, on the western side of Bolton and outside the town centre, close to the M61 motorway. Horwich Parkway station is a few minutes' walk away. Trains on the line between Manchester and Preston stop there, and from Bolton station the train takes about ten minutes. On matchdays buses also run from the surrounding area. Next to the stadium is a hotel that is part of the stadium complex.

Hospitality at Bolton Wanderers FC

At Bolton Wanderers, hospitality is based in the suites and executive boxes of the ground. The difference with a regular ticket is the seat and the service: a good seat, food and drink in a lounge before and after the match and often a parking space at the stadium. It is a comfortable way to experience the game, especially for a corporate guest or a group.

Practical information for matchday

Come well before kick-off. The turnstiles open an hour and a half before the match and the roads around the stadium get busy. If you can, travel by train to Horwich Parkway; parking is available at the ground, but it is limited and traffic is gridlocked after the match. By the West Stand, at the statue of Nat Lofthouse, there is a fan zone with food and drink before the match. If you are coming from further afield, Manchester Airport is the obvious airport; from there a direct train runs to Horwich Parkway. We can combine ticket, accommodation and transport into a tailor-made football trip.
