Ewood Park is one of the oldest football grounds in England and has been the home of Blackburn Rovers, one of the founding members of the Football League, since 1890. In the 1990s owner Jack Walker had the stadium almost entirely rebuilt. In that same period, in 1995, Blackburn won the Premier League. The largest stand now bears his name. The ground holds just over 31,000.
The big match is the East Lancashire derby against Burnley, the neighbours some twenty kilometres away. The matches against Preston North End and Bolton Wanderers also mean a lot in the region. On those days the ground is well filled and the atmosphere is at its height. A nice detail: the seats in the Riverside Stand spell out the word ROVERS.
For a visitor, Blackburn is a true football town in the north of England. The nearest major airport is Manchester Airport; from there you travel by train, with one change, to Blackburn in about an hour and a half. We can put together a tailor-made football trip with ticket, accommodation and transport. Tickets for ordinary league matches are often available; for the big matches it is different. We arrange official tickets and hospitality with a confirmed seat.
Ewood Park is on Bolton Road in the Ewood area, in the south of Blackburn, about two kilometres from the town centre. The nearest station is Mill Hill, about a fifteen-minute walk away. Blackburn station is further away, around a twenty-minute walk, but has more trains, including services to Manchester and Preston. Buses run from the centre along Bolton Road to the ground. By car you get there via junction 4 of the M65.
At Blackburn Rovers, hospitality is mainly based in the Jack Walker Stand, the largest stand in the ground. The difference with a regular ticket is the seat and the service: a good seat, a separate entrance and food and drink in a lounge before and after the match. It is a comfortable way to experience the game, especially for a corporate guest or a group.
Come well before kick-off. Travel by train or bus if you can, as parking near the ground is limited and the surrounding streets often have rules for residents. Not every train stops at Mill Hill; Blackburn station has more connections and is within walking distance. If you are coming from further afield, Manchester is the easiest starting point: from Manchester Airport the train gets you to Blackburn in about an hour and a half. We can arrange ticket, accommodation and transport together as a tailor-made football trip.
For ordinary league matches there is often availability. For the derby against Burnley and the matches against Preston North End and Bolton Wanderers they go quickly; a package with a confirmed seat gives certainty then.
The price varies by opponent and by stand. This page shows the current from-price per type once we have availability for a match.

That is the name of the match between Blackburn Rovers and Burnley, two clubs from the east of Lancashire some twenty kilometres apart. It is the most tense match of the season.
It holds just over 31,000, all seated. The largest stand is the Jack Walker Stand, named after the owner who had the ground rebuilt in the 1990s.
