The BBBank Wildpark is the home of Karlsruher SC, a traditional club from Baden. Between 2018 and 2023 the old Wildparkstadion from 1955 was replaced step by step with a new football stadium, without an athletics track and with the stands close to the pitch. For league matches it holds 34,302, of whom more than 11,000 on terracing.
In the 2026/27 season Karlsruher SC play in the 2. Bundesliga. The match the city looks forward to is the Südwest-Derby against 1. FC Kaiserslautern, who play in the same league. Matches against VfB Stuttgart also have a long history; that is an old rivalry between Baden and Württemberg.
Karlsruhe Hauptbahnhof has fast trains to Frankfurt and Paris; Karlsruhe/Baden-Baden airport is about half an hour's drive away. The BBBank Wildpark is on the Adenauerring, in the Hardtwald forest, north-east of the palace and the centre of Karlsruhe. From the Marktplatz it is a walk of twenty to twenty-five minutes, partly through the palace gardens. By tram you go to the Durlacher Tor stop; on matchdays shuttle buses run from there to the ground. The Kronenplatz and Marktplatz stops are also within walking distance.
