From Blackpool South station it is a walk of about 10 minutes. In the 2026/27 season Blackpool play in League One, the third tier of English football. Bloomfield Road has been the home of Blackpool since 1901. The ground is within walking distance of the promenade and the famous Blackpool Tower. The club play in bright orange, which is also where one of their nicknames comes from: The Tangerines. The other nickname is The Seasiders.

Blackpool were founded in 1887. The greatest moment came in 1953: Blackpool won the FA Cup with a 4-3 win over Bolton Wanderers at Wembley. In England that match is known as the Matthews Final, after winger Stanley Matthews. In 2010/11 the club spent a season in the Premier League. In 2026/27 Blackpool play in League One.

Blackpool lies on the Lancashire coast and can be reached by train via Preston. Blackpool South station is the closest; from there it is a walk of about 10 minutes. Blackpool North station, where most trains arrive, is about 3 kilometres away. From there you take a taxi or the tram along the promenade.

At Blackpool, hospitality is based in the lounges and corporate areas of the ground. The difference with a regular ticket is the seat and the service: a good seat, a separate entrance and food and drink in a lounge before and after the match. In a manageable ground like this it is a comfortable way to experience the game, especially for a corporate guest or a group.

Arrive well before kick-off. Most trains arrive at Blackpool North; from there, allow for a taxi or a ride along the promenade. Blackpool South, close to the ground, also has trains via Preston, but less often; check the timetable in advance. A weekend in Blackpool combines the match with the promenade and the pier.
