Ipurua is one of the smallest grounds in Spanish professional football and the home of SD Eibar, the club from a town of gunsmiths in Gipuzkoa. The stadium opened in 1947 and sits in a narrow valley among the houses. After the club's first promotion to the Primera División in 2014 it was renewed step by step. It now holds just over 8,000.

Eibar spent seven seasons in the top flight, from 2014 to 2021, and play in the Segunda División in 2026/27. The club is largely owned by thousands of small shareholders. From its years in the top flight, the club is familiar with the Basque derbies against Athletic Bilbao, Real Sociedad and Alavés.

Eibar lies between Bilbao and San Sebastián. The nearest major airport is Bilbao, just over 50 kilometres away; the Euskotren train links Eibar with both cities. The Estadio Municipal de Ipurua is in the Ipurua district, on the south side of Eibar, against the hills of the valley. The centre, with Untzaga square, is about a ten-minute walk away, uphill. The nearest railway station is Ardantza, on the Euskotren line between Bilbao and San Sebastián. From there it is a walk of about fifteen minutes up to the stadium. Eibar is small and easy to get around on foot.

At SD Eibar, hospitality is based in the business seats and areas of the renewed ground. The difference with a regular ticket is the seat and the service: a good seat, a separate entrance and food and drink before and after the match. In a ground of this size the number of seats is limited, so it pays to book in good time, especially for a corporate guest or a group.

試合当日の実用情報

Come well before kick-off and expect a steep walk to the stadium. Wear good shoes. Travel by train, as parking in the narrow valley is difficult. The Euskotren train takes just over an hour from Bilbao to Eibar; there is also a bus connection from Bilbao airport.
