El Sardinero is the largest stadium in Cantabria and the home of Racing de Santander, a club founded in 1913. The current ground opened in 1988, a few hundred metres from the old pitch of the same name. The Spanish national team has played several internationals there. It holds just over 22,000, close to the pitch and with a view of the coast.

In the 2026/27 season Racing are back in LaLiga, the Spanish top flight. The matches against Real Madrid and FC Barcelona draw a full house. The game against Athletic Club from Bilbao is regarded as the classic of the north. The hardcore fans stand behind the north goal and sing throughout the match.

Santander is a seaside city, with beaches within walking distance of the ground. Seve Ballesteros Airport is about 7 kilometres from the centre and a bus runs into the city. We can put together a tailor-made football trip with ticket, accommodation and transport. Tickets for ordinary league matches are often available; for the big matches it is different. The Campos de Sport de El Sardinero is in the El Sardinero district, in the north-east of Santander, right next to El Sardinero beach. Next to the ground are the Palacio de Deportes and the Vaguada de las Llamas park. From the centre it is about half an hour's walk. Several city bus routes stop near the ground. By car you reach it via the A-67 and the S-20.

At Racing de Santander, hospitality is based in the business seats and boxes of the ground, mainly in the west stand. The difference with a regular ticket is the seat and the service: a good seat, a separate entrance and food and drink before and after the match. In a compact ground like El Sardinero you sit close to the pitch, which makes it a pleasant way to experience the game, especially for a corporate guest or a group.

試合当日の実用情報

Come well before kick-off. Take the bus or walk, as parking near the ground is difficult on matchdays and the roads are busy afterwards. If you are flying in, you land at Seve Ballesteros Airport, about 7 kilometres from the centre. We can put together a tailor-made football trip with ticket, accommodation and transport. If you want to make a day of it, the beaches of El Sardinero are within walking distance of the ground.
