The Nuevo Estadio de Los Cármenes is a compact stadium with three tiers on all four sides. The crowd sits close to the pitch, so the noise stays in. The ground opened in 1995 and has been the home of Granada CF ever since. The Spain national team has also played here several times.

Granada CF were founded in 1931. Their nickname is los Nazaríes, after the dynasty that built the Alhambra. In 2026/27 the club play in the Segunda División, with other Andalusian clubs such as Almería, Cádiz and Córdoba in the same league. The historic rivals are Málaga; the match between the two clubs is known as the Eastern Andalusia derby.

For a visitor, Granada is a beautiful destination: the Alhambra, the old Albaicín quarter and a stadium that is easy to reach by metro. The city has its own airport and a railway station with fast connections to Madrid; Málaga airport is about an hour and a half's drive away. The Nuevo Estadio de Los Cármenes is in the Zaidín district, about three kilometres south of the centre of Granada. Metro line 1 has a stop called Nuevo Los Cármenes, less than five minutes' walk from the stadium. From the railway station and from the centre, for example the Recogidas stop, line 1 runs there directly. By car the stadium can be reached via the ring road and the Camino de Ronda.

The difference with a regular ticket is the seat and the service: a good seat, a separate entrance and food and drink before and after the match. In a compact stadium like Los Cármenes it is a comfortable way to experience the game, especially for a corporate guest or a group.

試合当日の実用情報

Come well before kick-off and travel by metro, as parking near the ground is limited and the roads are busy after the match. After the final whistle the Nuevo Los Cármenes stop can be packed; if you wait a little or walk a short way, your journey will be calmer. Fly into Granada airport or Málaga, or take the train to Granada; we can put together a tailor-made football trip with ticket, accommodation and transport. If you want to make a day of it, book the Alhambra well in advance, as tickets for it often sell out quickly.
