The Rudolf-Harbig-Stadion is the home of Dynamo Dresden, one of the great traditional clubs of eastern Germany. The club were champions of the GDR eight times and reached the UEFA Cup semi-finals in 1989. A stadium had stood on the same site since 1923; the current ground was built from scratch between 2007 and 2009 and opened in September 2009. It holds 32,249.

In the 2026/27 season Dynamo play in the 2. Bundesliga. The club are known for their passionate support and huge choreographies in the stands. The match that stands out is the Elb-Clásico against 1. FC Magdeburg, the other big club on the Elbe. Then the stadium is full and the atmosphere is at its peak.

For a visitor, Dresden is a beautiful destination: a baroque old town on the Elbe and a ground within walking distance of the centre. Dresden airport is nine kilometres north of the city; S-Bahn line S2 takes 21 minutes to the main station. We can put together a tailor-made football trip with ticket, accommodation and transport. The Rudolf-Harbig-Stadion is on Lennéstraße, next to the Großer Garten park and south-east of Dresden's historic centre. From the main station and from the Altstadt it is about a fifteen-minute walk. Tram lines 10 and 13 stop at Großer Garten, close to the ground. Lines 9 and 11 stop at Lennéplatz, also a few minutes' walk away.

At Dynamo Dresden, hospitality is based in the business seats and boxes of the ground. The difference with a regular ticket is the seat and the service: a good seat, a separate entrance and food and drink in a lounge before and after the match. In a stadium with such vocal support it is a comfortable way to experience the game, especially for a corporate guest or a group.

Come well before kick-off, as the stadium is often well filled and the choreographies start before the game. Travel by tram or walk from the centre, as parking near the ground is limited. If you fly in, S-Bahn line S2 takes you from Dresden airport to the main station in 21 minutes; from there it is a fifteen-minute walk. If you want to make a day of it, the Frauenkirche, the Zwinger and the Semperoper in the Altstadt are close by.
