Stadion Maksimir is the home of Dinamo Zagreb, the most successful club in Croatia. The Croatian national team also often play here. The stadium opened in 1912 and was substantially renovated, among other times in the late 1990s and in 2011. Since the 2020 earthquake the east stand has been closed. In the coming years a completely new stadium for about 35,000 spectators will be built on the same site.

The biggest match of the season is the Vječni derbi, the eternal derby against Hajduk Split. Then the ground is full and the atmosphere is at its height. The north stand is home to the Bad Blue Boys, the club's best-known supporters' group. European nights also draw big crowds.

For a visitor, Zagreb is a pleasant city for a few days: a compact old centre and a ground that is easy to reach by tram. Franjo Tuđman Airport is about 17 kilometres from the centre. Stadion Maksimir is on Maksimirska cesta, in the Maksimir district in the east of Zagreb. To the north lies Maksimir Park, one of the largest parks in the city. From Ban Jelačić Square, trams 11 and 12 run along Maksimirska to the Bukovačka and Hondlova stops. Trams 1 and 17 stop on the south side at the Svetice stop. From the main railway station, tram 4 runs via Maksimirska. The journey usually takes 10 to 20 minutes.

At Dinamo Zagreb, hospitality is based in the business seats and corporate areas of the ground. The difference with a regular ticket is the seat and the service: a good seat with a good view and food and drink before and after the match. For the derby against Hajduk Split and European matches it is a comfortable way to take in the atmosphere, especially for a corporate guest or a group.

試合当日の実用情報

Come well before kick-off and travel by tram, as parking near the ground is limited. After the match the stops on Maksimirska are busy; if you walk a little further, you will often find a place on a tram more quickly. From the airport a shuttle bus runs to Zagreb's main bus station in 35 to 40 minutes. We can combine ticket, accommodation and transport in a tailor-made football trip. If you want to make a day of it, Maksimir Park, the zoo and the old Upper Town are close by.
