The Parc des Princes dates from 1972 and is defined by the exposed concrete ribs that wrap the structure. It is more compact than the newer European arenas and the stands sit close to the pitch, which makes for a good view from almost anywhere in the ground.

The atmosphere is driven by the two curves, the Virage Auteuil and the Virage Boulogne. For the bigger matches those stands produce tifo displays among the most impressive in Europe. For a midweek league game against modest opposition it is considerably quieter, a swing that is more pronounced in France than in England or Germany.

The stadium sits in an affluent residential district in the west of the city, close to the Bois de Boulogne, and is easy to reach by metro from anywhere central. Tickets for ordinary fixtures are often obtainable; for the big nights we arrange official hospitality and ticket packages with a confirmed seat.

Paris Saint-Germain offer official hospitality in the side stands around the halfway line, with several lounges and a number of more exclusive formats with restaurant-level catering. The difference from a regular ticket is clear: a general seat can be high in a corner, while hospitality places you centrally with a private entrance and service before and after the match. At a club where availability fluctuates, the certainty of a confirmed seat is often the deciding argument.

Practical information for matchday

Arrive an hour to ninety minutes before kick-off. The brasseries around Porte de Saint-Cloud fill up on matchdays. Bring photo identification, as French grounds frequently ask for a document at the ticket check. Security screening is strict and bags are restricted, so travel light. Before the match the Bois de Boulogne and the Roland Garros courts are within walking distance, and the centre is a short metro ride away.
