The Brick Community Stadium has been the home of Wigan Athletic since 1999. The ground has four single-tier stands and just over 25,000 seats. It was previously called the JJB Stadium and then the DW Stadium; since 2024 it has carried the name of The Brick, a local charity. Wigan share the ground with the rugby club Wigan Warriors.
Wigan Athletic only joined the Football League in 1978 and then climbed all the way to the Premier League, where the club spent eight consecutive seasons, from 2005 to 2013. The high point came in 2013: Wigan won the FA Cup with a 1-0 win over Manchester City at Wembley. Bolton Wanderers are the historic rivals. In 2026/27 the club play in League One.
Wigan lies between Manchester and Liverpool and is easy to reach by train, including directly from London Euston. The airports of Manchester and Liverpool are the closest; we can put together a tailor-made football trip with ticket, accommodation and transport. Tickets for ordinary league matches are often available; for the big matches it is different. We arrange official tickets and hospitality with a confirmed seat.
The Brick Community Stadium is in Robin Park, on the west side of Wigan, on the south bank of the River Douglas. The town's two railway stations, Wigan North Western and Wigan Wallgate, are about 1.5 kilometres east of the ground. From either station it is a walk of about twenty minutes. Next to the ground is the Robin Park retail area, with a supermarket and a few fast-food outlets, among other things.
At Wigan Athletic, hospitality is based in the lounges and corporate areas of the ground. The difference with a regular ticket is the seat and the service: a good seat, a separate entrance and food and drink in a lounge before and after the match. In a manageable ground like this it is a comfortable way to experience the game, especially for a corporate guest or a group.
Arrive well before kick-off and travel by train if you can. From Wigan North Western or Wigan Wallgate it is a short walk to the ground. There is parking at the ground, but a maximum stay applies on the retail park site. Wigan has direct trains to Manchester and Liverpool, and Wigan North Western is on the line from London Euston. We can combine the ticket with accommodation and transport in a tailor-made football trip.
For ordinary league matches there is often availability. For matches against clubs with a large following and in the cup competitions they go more quickly; a package with a confirmed seat gives certainty then.
The price varies by opponent and by stand. This page shows the current from-price per type once we have availability for a match.
