The Volkswagen Arena is the home of VfL Wolfsburg, the club that became German champions in 2009. The stadium opened in December 2002 and lies next to the large Volkswagen factory and the Autostadt. Its striking roof of light membrane fabric extends over all the stands. Matches of the 2011 Women's World Cup were played here.
In the 2026/27 season Wolfsburg play in the 2. Bundesliga. There the club also meet Eintracht Braunschweig and Hannover 96, two clubs from the same state of Lower Saxony. Those are the matches that matter most to the fans.
Wolfsburg is on the high-speed line between Hanover and Berlin, with Intercity and ICE trains to the main station. The nearest major airport is Hanover. If you come by car, check with the club in advance where you can park.

The difference with a regular ticket is the seat and the service: a good seat, a separate entrance and food and drink in a lounge before and after the match.
