The Kassam Stadium has been the home of Oxford United, the club also known as The U's, since 2001. The ground has three stands and about 12,500 places. There is no stand on the fourth side. The club have permission to build a new stadium near Kidlington, on the north side of Oxford. Until that stadium is ready, Oxford United play at the Kassam Stadium.
In the 2026/27 season the club play in League One, the third tier of English football. The oldest rivals are Swindon Town; the match between the two is called the A420 derby, after the road between the two towns. There is also a rivalry with Reading. Oxford United face Reading in the same division this season, and then the ground is well filled.
Oxford is a famous university city with plenty to see. Direct trains run from London Paddington and Marylebone, and from Heathrow and Gatwick The Airline coach runs to Oxford. We can put together a tailor-made football trip with ticket, accommodation and transport. Tickets for ordinary league matches are often available; for the big matches it is different. We arrange official tickets and hospitality with a confirmed seat.
The Kassam Stadium is on Grenoble Road, on the south-eastern edge of Oxford, near Littlemore and Blackbird Leys. The ground stands on a site with a cinema and other facilities. Oxford station is about eight kilometres away. Bus 3A runs every half hour from the centre, at the Westgate shopping centre, and stops on Grenoble Road. Buses also run from the station to Sandy Lane West; from there it is about a fifteen-minute walk. Around the ground there is free parking for about 2,000 cars.
At Oxford United, hospitality is mainly in the South Stand, which is also where the executive boxes are. The difference with a regular ticket is the seat and the service: a good seat with a view of the pitch and food and drink in a restaurant or lounge before and after the match. In a compact ground like this you are close to the pitch. That makes hospitality a pleasant way to experience a match, especially for a corporate guest or a group.
Arrive well before kick-off. There is only one access road to the site, so by car it can get busy just before the match. The bus from the centre takes about 35 minutes. A taxi from the station takes about fifteen minutes. Visitors from abroad usually travel via London: by train from Paddington or Marylebone, or on The Airline coach from Heathrow or Gatwick. If you want to make a day of it, Oxford's historic centre with its colleges is a good place to start.
For ordinary league matches there is often availability. For the match against Reading and other busy fixtures they go quickly; a package with a confirmed seat gives certainty then.
The price varies by opponent and by stand. This page shows the current from-price per type once we have availability for a match.
