Newcastle United play at St James' Park, right in the centre of Newcastle upon Tyne. It has been the club's home since 1892 and holds just over 52,000. The location in the heart of the city is unique: few big clubs play this close to the centre. St James Metro station is right next to the ground. For the big matches tickets go quickly, as the support is passionate and loyal.

About Newcastle United

St James' Park is one of the most distinctive grounds in England, mostly because of where it stands. It rises above the centre of Newcastle on a hill, so from the upper tiers you get a sweeping view over the city. For a visitor it means the ground, the pubs and the station are all within walking distance.

The atmosphere at Newcastle is famous. The support is known as one of the loudest and most loyal in the country, and on a good night the whole ground is on its feet. The bond between the club and the city is strong; football here is part of the identity.

For a trip from abroad, Newcastle is easy to reach, with direct flights and a compact, lively centre. Tickets for ordinary league matches are available fairly regularly; for the top games and the derby against Sunderland it is different. We arrange official tickets and hospitality with a confirmed seat.

St James' Park is literally in the centre of Newcastle, on Barrack Road. St James Metro station, on the Tyne and Wear Metro, is right next to the ground. Newcastle Central Station is a few hundred metres away, so the train brings you close too. Because the ground is so central, a car is rarely needed and parking nearby is limited.

Hospitality at Newcastle United

At Newcastle United, official hospitality is based in the lounges and business areas along the side of the ground. The difference with a regular ticket is the seat and the service: a good seat, a separate entrance and food and drink in a lounge before and after the match. For a corporate guest or a group, this is the comfortable way to experience the intense atmosphere of St James' Park.

  • Hospitality from € 234 per person (indication)
  • Regular tickets from € 173 per person (indication)

This is the lowest price per type in our current range. The two figures may come from different fixtures, as prices vary considerably by opponent.

Practical information for matchday

Come well before kick-off, as the ground and the centre are busy on matchdays. Travel by Metro or on foot from Central Station; parking in the centre is difficult. Bring an ID. If you want to make a day of it, the Quayside by the river, the shopping streets and the pubs are all within walking distance of the ground.
