About Bayern München

The Allianz Arena is one of the best-known stadiums in Europe, largely because of the inflated panel facade that glows red at night. Inside it is clean and functional: three steeply raked tiers, short sightlines to the pitch and wide concourses. It opened in 2005 and remains among the best-maintained grounds on the continent.

The Südkurve houses the most vocal support and operates as a terrace for Bundesliga matches. European fixtures require seating, which lowers the capacity. The atmosphere is less raw than in Dortmund, but when the ground is full for a major match the noise is considerable.

Munich is an easy city to attach a match to: a compact centre, reliable public transport and good flight connections. Tickets go to members and season ticket holders first, and for the bigger fixtures the remainder disappears quickly. We arrange official hospitality and ticket packages with a confirmed seat.

The Allianz Arena is in Fröttmaning, about ten kilometres north of central Munich. U-Bahn line U6 stops at Fröttmaning, ten minutes' walk from the ground; from Marienplatz the journey takes around twenty minutes. From Munich airport the S-Bahn runs to Marienplatz where you change to the U6. By road the stadium sits directly on the A9, with a large car park beneath the complex.

Hospitality at Bayern München

Bayern Munich offer official hospitality in the business lounges and skyboxes on the middle level along both sides. The difference from a regular ticket is position and comfort: general tickets often sit in the second or third tier, while hospitality places you on the first or second tier near the halfway line, with a private entrance and catering before and after the match. For business guests the Allianz Arena is among the best-equipped grounds in Europe.

Practical information for matchday

Arrive ninety minutes before kick-off. The ten-minute walk from Fröttmaning along the esplanade is part of the experience, particularly when the facade is lit. Payment inside the ground uses a rechargeable stadium card, so top one up on arrival. Saturday Bundesliga matches usually kick off at 15:30 or 18:30 local time. In the city, Marienplatz, the Viktualienmarkt and the Englischer Garten are all close together.
