Atlético Madrid play at the Estadio Metropolitano in the east of Madrid, their home since 2017 with just over 70,000 seats. Metro line 7 has a stop at the ground. Tickets for ordinary league matches are often available, but the derby against Real Madrid and European nights sell out quickly.

Atlético moved in 2017 from the cramped Vicente Calderón to the Estadio Metropolitano, built around an existing athletics stadium dating from 1994. The result is a modern bowl with a curving roof and steep tiers that hold the noise in. Anyone who knew the old Calderón will notice the added comfort; the support brought the atmosphere with them.
In Madrid, Atlético are the counterweight to Real: less glamour, more emphasis on graft and defending. That gives a visit a different character. Supporters stand for the whole match, including in the seated sections, and the ground comes alive most when things are going against the team.
The stadium sits on the eastern edge of the city, further out than the Bernabéu but well served by its own metro stop. League fixtures often have general availability, which makes Atlético a more accessible visit than most European top clubs. For the city derby and Champions League nights that changes, and we arrange official hospitality and ticket packages with a confirmed seat.
The Estadio Metropolitano is on the Avenida de Luis Aragonés in eastern Madrid, roughly seven kilometres from the centre. Estadio Metropolitano station on metro line 7 is a few minutes' walk; from Sol the journey takes around half an hour with one change. From Adolfo Suárez Madrid-Barajas airport the trip is relatively short, as the ground is on the same side of the city.
Atlético Madrid offer official hospitality in the side stands around the halfway line, with lounges and catering before and after the match. The difference from a regular ticket is noticeable at this ground: the upper tiers rise steeply and sit well back from the pitch, while hospitality places you low and central. You also use a private entrance, which saves time at the security checks just before kick-off.
This is the lowest price per type in our current range. The two figures may come from different fixtures, as prices vary considerably by opponent.
Arrive an hour to ninety minutes before kick-off. There is limited catering around the ground; most visitors eat in the centre and travel out by metro. Spanish kick-off times are often late in the evening and are only confirmed a few weeks ahead, so allow room for your return journey. Bring photo identification for the ticket check. To make a day of it, Retiro park and the Prado sit at the other end of the same metro line.
